About Karina & So Pure Candles

Hi I am Karina Dwyer and this is my little passion, making soy candles.

It all started one day, somewhere in March 2012, when I decided to have a lesson in making candles so I could make them for myself. After my lesson I got home thinking, I don't think I can make a candle by myself and if I make one I don't think it will work OK.  But I was wrong. I got home that night so in love with the scents I had tried and how pleasant it was that evening, learning how to make candles and melts.

Was it a pregnancy brain pushing me to it or was it a moment where I went inside myself and discovered my passion!

The next day after my lesson I had some material and decided to give it a go by myself and see if I was a disaster or if I could do it. It was so nice that I went crazy, created a Facebook page and went online trying to find suppliers, I found one that I liked and started adding things to my cart. At the end I called my husband and asked if I should go through and put my order on and he was very supportive as always and said, "If you think it will make you happy, do it". So I did. I placed my order and started making my little candles, giving some away to a few friends, and to people that like candles. It is just a small business but each candle I make gives me so much pleasure.

I only use good products; 100% soy wax and fragrances that can even be used on skin.

At the time I decided to start my candle business I had a little toddler, only just 12 months old and I was about 14 weeks pregnant, so I am still not sure what drove me to start the candle business; the baby brain with a delay or the pregnancy brain. But in any of the cases I am very glad I did.

We are all talented for something and if not we still can learn.
